WHY DID YOU TAKE UP FASHION? HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
My first brush with fashion began when I was quite young, in primary school, I would fill up pages of art books with sketches of women in evening gowns (back then mostly inspired by the fairy tales I loved). Despite this, my love for science took me to Newcastle University, where I completed a BSc in Biomedical Sciences, and Masters in Public Health.
Saltanat Baimukhamedova, designer and founder of SALTA was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in the heart of Central Asia. She founded her label in 2008 and has become a famous and commercially successful designer in her native country.
